Who am I?

“I am my Beloved’s, and He is mine. I’ve ravished His heart, and He’s ravished mine.”

I’m just a kid, struggling to have the faith of a child. I’m just a mortal, trying to accept the love of the Immortal. I’m just a fallen human, hoping to fall into the arms of my Daddy. I’m just a Bride, waiting for my Bridegroom.

“God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

I was made, chosen, set apart and taught solely by God. He continues to mold me and make me as I sit on His shoulders and rest in His love. It’s only when I take things into my own hands that I fall short. He is my rock and redeemer. He is my home, and I am His temple. He is my Daddy, and I am His baby.

“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

My Lord, the Truth, has set me free. In Him, I find everything I need. He took my story and made it His, and it has never been better.

I just want to know Him and be known by Him. I just want to crucify my flesh day after day. I just want to draw closer to Him every day, never being further away today than I was yesterday. I just want to be His disciple in this world and shine His light in the darkest corners of their hearts.

As I toss around the question, “Who am I?,” the only answer that seems fitting is, “I am Yours.”
